Description of J & H Wilderness Resort: Situated on the Alaska Highway, services at J & H Wilderness Resort provides access to the bakcountry and has 6 motel rooms and 70 RV sites with a restaurant on premises. Facilities such as laundry,gift shop,fuel service, fishing licenses and tackle, boat rentals and sani-dump are available to the guests. There are also backcountry adventure trips available such as back country fishing and flight seeing, boat trips, hiking, kayaking, white water rafting, guided fishing and hunting in the Muncho Lake, Muskwa Kechika, Nahanni and Wokpash areas of northern BC.
I visited the J&H Wilderness Ranch (Resort) on a trip across Canada in the early 1990's. I've been trying to get back ever since! Muncho Lake is absolutely breathtaking! So peaceful and beautiful! I recommend it to anyone I know headed out that way ~ just a days drive up from Dawson Creek & oh, so worth it! (The Alaska Hwy has been paved since my trip so it may not be a full day's drive now)
