Description of Kokanee Beach Resort Motel: The Kokanee Beach Resort is centrally located in the beautiful Okanagan between Kelowna and Vernon. Our beachfront getaway is situated at the south end of Wood Lake. Winfield British Columbia. Our 1 and 2 bedroom units come with double beds and bunk beds, a large separate and well appointed kitchen, carpeted living room with hide-a-bed, colour cable TV and a full bath with shower. We offer a common barbecue area and each unit has its own picnic table and lawn chairs. All units over look our grassy recreation area. Enjoy basketball, volleyball or relax and read in a quiet shady area. Kids enjoy our unique lighthouse tree house, playground, and a campfire every evening. Our private sandy beach, dock, and warm calm water are great for sun bathing, swimming, boating, fishing and the many other water activities we offer.
We stayed at this mptel last yer. the beach is covered with goose dung . Wood lake is a breeding ground for geese.The bathtub water is full of sulphur nd the water undrinkable. There were no lawn chairs.Volleyball net was in tattered.Playgrround was almost unusable and the lighthouse is dangerous. the dock was barely safe to use. A very unpleasant place.
This place is a as far from a "resort" as you can get. The website advertised a hot tub and canoe/boat usage. The hot tub was broken down, and hasn't been operational in years, and the boats were apparently stolen. I agree with the first review, the water is undrinkable, and it smells like rust when you take a shower. The beach did have goose poop all over it too. We had tried to ask for our money back, but the chamber maid, who was looking after the place because the owners were in Vancouver, said we couldn't have our money back because we had booked the room and there were no refunds, and she would lose her job. Actually, Michelle, the chambermaid, was the only pleasant part of our experiance. She did everything she could to make our stay enjoyable. Thank You Michelle. but to everyone else considering staying here.....DON'T. SAVE YOUR MONEY!
