Description of Morehead Lake Cabins & Campsite: Cabins with kitchenettes, showers, toilets; RV sites, campsites with showers and flush toilets; laundromat; row boat, canoe, kayak rental; room and board available; excellent area for fishing, hunting, gold panning, gold mining history, mountain biking, ATV's; lots of wildlife.
This place is such a dive!! The cabins are decrepit,rodent infested,and filthy! We had room and board but stopped eating there after a while because the owners had the pets wandering in and around the kitchen. Totally unsanitary!
I'm glad we were only passing through, because this place was waay over priced for being so rundown and dirty.
If you love camping with a few extra's you will love this place. The cabins are rustic and cozy with full plumbing and hot water shower's. No need for outhouses. They are located right at the lake and its great for relaxation. The owner's are great too. So welcoming and they make you feel right at home. Just like being at grandma's. What I loved best was all their pets. They have goats, bunnies, geese, chickens, cats and dogs. They even have a wild goose that the dogs rescued from the lake side. They have raised her from baby and she is part of the family. It's a once in a life time experience to be able to play with a Canada goose. If you love animals and the outdoors, you will love this place. I intend to go back every chance I get.
I have been going to Morehead since 1988 and love the place. The new owners are very pleasant and try in ever way to make your stay confortable.The cabins are rustic, but clean. I have stayed in the little house,the trailers and the cabins. All were to my satisfaction I am going back for the second time this fall, for a hunting trip, with 5 of my friends. You will always feel welcome at Morehead.
Sorry to hear that your stay with us was not up to par. If you brought all your complaints to our attention at the time of staying here we would take care of them. But is not to late. Contact us and we will make up to you. Guest comfort is our goal.

Hi Steph, thank you for staing with us. We are glad that you had a great time. We enjoyed you and all your kids too. Please let them know that now we have a little chicks, which we hatched in our own incubator. Geese are sitting on 11 eggs. They should be hatching at the end of May. People here are taking pictures of them. It is such a plesure to watch this couple. Stephanie, do not bring any eggs, we have free range eggs here. Gardens are coming too. Hello to your family and see you soon.

Dear Gord. Thank you for good words about us. WE enjoy you and all your friends hunters. You are just a happy campers. I hope you will still like the cabins, as we renovated them and added some different tuch. Now we have HUNTERS DEN cabin, CHIC CABIN, FISHERMAN CABIN, TRAPPERS CABIN etc.
As of animals, deers, bears and moose are coming closer and closer to MOrehead Lake. Fishing is good too. Just spring is getting late. See you all in the fall. Hope to have more time to spend with you. Renovations are almost finished.
