Slum Hole

My family and I had the great displeasure of staying at this campground for two days. The campsites are very tight, and some are difficult to park in. We were assured that we would have room to park both a boat trailer and our truck in the spot, but it was impossible to make the turn to get the trailer in.
Other “fellow” campers are pretty lame here too. They play loud music (yeah you, minivan guy with the big stereo) they drink heavily till 3am and walk directly through your site to get to their sites.

I have been going boating on Cultus Lake for over 25 years and this was the first time I camped in the “Ghetto Slums” campsite, and I assure you, it will be the last.

Do I recommend this campsite?
Only for the mindless campers like those listed above.

Grew Up here

I grew up in Sunnyside Camp grounds. I spent my summer days in the lake, walking to the front and having a blast. It is not a slum park. Great pride is taken to keep the park clean and tidy. If your neighbour is too loud just go and ask if they can keep it down somewhat. Usually campers are good about that. Sunnyside is really nice and right on the lake front is wonderful. But then I have only been going there for 50 odd years what do I know?

this place is pretty much a shitty old trailer park with hooligans roaming about.

Good and bad

I have excellent memories of sunnyside when i was a kid, we went there every year till i was 12.Had lots of fun. I recently went back and was a loud parent enjoying a good laugh, music and a campfire.I enjoyed the sites with water on hand, trees for cover and the beach. The bad is that it is too overcrowded with boats on a nice day to ski.

love it, miss it..

i first camped in sunnyside in 1969 and tears later bought a trailer and hada seasonal dite forever till health stopped my camping days. sunnyside is clea, well monitored and far from a slum hole. i cannot remember ever missing a summer camping there. my kids have fond memories and i made great friends from there one bad experience does not a slumhole make. i will come back to sunnyside when and ifi can i love it and miss it terribly.
