not worth the cost
The other day a friend and I visited the KOA in victoria on our island get away. the site we were in was small but sufficient. nice trees etc. what we didnt know was that a train would run past our site about 100 feet away several times that evening. washroom facilities were ok but the showers were the worst ive seen in a long time. i tried 3 stalls before finding one i would use-even wearing sandals- vents full of mold etc. i know this is natural in an outdoor camping facility but for more than 40 dollars a night you would expect pretty good facilities. the office is only open a few hours each day so i couldnt even let anyone know the conditions. the site itself im sure was nice about 20 years ago. the 90 dollar a night cabins are a far cry from how "cool" koa cabins were in the early 90s when i last stayed in them. chipped stain, dirty, and too close together. although i had an ok time i wont return to this site. i would rate it a 3/10
